While Peanut DAO distributes PNUT to STEEM POWER delegators, 10% of PNUT goes into Peanut DAO Fund, which is controlled by multi-signature contract.

Peanut Proposal System

Peanut created its Proposal System where any community member holding 1 million PNUT can submit a proposal to the community to apply for PNUT support from the DAO Fund.

Proposals submitted by the community include but are not limited to technology development, market operation, and community governance. Once the proposal has been voted by 20 million PNUT, it will be approved, and the DAO Fund multi-signature account will transfer and pay according to the proposal.

Investment DAO

Half a year after Peanut was created, it was decided by the Peanut Committee to support Nutbox. This move has brought in 5 million NUT for Peanut, which will be cashed out from August 01, 2022 to July 31, 2025. As a result, Peanut DAO turned to a Staking-based investment DAO.

Thanks to this experience and the development of the Nutbox ecosystem (that a large number of DAOs will be created in the future), the Peanut Committee suggests that Peanut DAO should be developed into an investment DAO and implemented through the Peanut Proposal System. The process is as follows:

• Community members discover good investment projects and submit proposals to the community for discussion and voting

• Once an investment proposal has passed the vote by the community, it will be reviewed by Peanut Committee

• If the review is OK, Peanut Committee will sign an investment agreement with the project party and pay PNUT

• The project party needs to transfer the investment return directly to the DAO Fund multi-signature account according to the investment agreement

The proceeds from the investment can be used to buyback-and-burn PNUT, or distributed to PNUT holders in other forms.

Peanut has the following advantages as an investment DAO:

• Use the collective wisdom of community members to practice investment DAO

• Peanut has a large number of community members, which can not only provide financial support to the project party, but also bring community support
